Four years ago, when I told you to
"Jump right in!", it never entered my mind
that you would do just that...
You jumped into the pool at our therapy
pool class, jumped right in to ask me out
for coffee and a piece of cherry pie
afterward, and nine months later you
jumped right in to ask me to marry you.
After both being widowed for so many

Do you remember this day as well as I do?
We knelt together with our friends and both of us accepted Christ as our
Savior. An hour and one-half later, I proposed at the Satter
Fountain. (Remember how I knelt on one knee, right into a puddle?)
That was the best day of my life up to that point.
Now, nine years of marriage and three children later, I am happier than
I ever thought I'd be. Isn't God Awesome?!

~ Everything Went Wrong But Us ~
Nothing went right that day.
The thunder and lightning started within minutes of this picture. We didn't even have time to write
our initials in the heart. We had to go back to our room.
The tripod was starting to tip and the camera snapped its frame while tipping and cut off our heads.
We couldn't get to it in time, the camera fell in the wet sand and wouldn't take pictures right for the
whole rest of the vacation.
We ventured out for dinner that night to each eat Thai food for the first time.
I got food poisoning and spent most of the night in the hospital emergency room.
The next day we decided to stay in the room all day. We were going to watch movies all day and
have our meals brought in to us. I was too sick to eat, you got indigestion really bad from the pizza
and started throwing up.
Fortunately, this was the next to the last day of our vacation, so we went home early, getting lost on
the return trip. We drove the whole day in the wrong direction and had to pay for another night at
some seedy motel.
Two years ago. Great funny memory now! As wrong as everything went, you and I are so right!
